Ambiguity explores concepts of ambiguous identity through artworks that emulate natural processes by utilizing glass and mixed media. Based on my background and life events, my thesis research considers identity as fluid, impermanent and imperfect. My thesis body of works have two separate, however related parts; one is time, and photography based works, one is language and sound related sculptural works. Utilizing glass and mixed media, The body of work emulates natural phenomena of growing, decaying and vanishing. By referencing my sense of self throughout my making processes, my thesis and body of works question how an identity alters and exists constantly by the time and outside influences.
