The Yards Collective is excited to welcome The Fischer Gallery at The Yards, our newest gallery and creative workspace located in the final remaining upper unit above Java’s and Cure at the Rochester Public Market.
Opening as The Yards approaches its 15th anniversary, the gallery is a collaboration between Kristina Kaiser and Yards Member Jim Fischer, who brings years of gallery and management experience from New York and New Jersey.
The Fischer Gallery will feature rotating 2D exhibitions while also serving as a flexible space for photography, workshops, educational programming, and small gatherings.
Our inaugural exhibition: “Not For Sale. (Maybe)”
Artists are invited to share the pieces they’ve chosen to keep for themselves — works that hold special personal meaning, have stories behind them, or maybe even pieces they’d consider parting with for the right price. Come see the more personal side of artists’ collections and discover the stories behind the work they hold onto.
Soft Opening: Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 10am-2pm
Upstairs in the Gallery Space we will have halloween activities!
Grand Opening: Friday, November 6, 2026 — First Friday 6-9pm
Upstairs in the Gallery Space our Veterans Art Exhibition will also be opening from 6-9pm!
We’re excited to open this new chapter for The Yards and create even more opportunities for artists to exhibit, gather, and connect with the community.
