VIRTUAL: Art Talk!

Join us Tuesday April 14th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, for an intimate roundtable discussion among artists and art appreciators, hosted by a Yards Supporter. This month the discussion will be moderated by Matt Vanderlee, artist, art teacher, and regular participant in these chats. This program came from a longing to achieve the types of conversations held at critiques typically found in educational settings, but this isn't as scary!! Our goal is to set attainable goals and grow in our practice.

Each month our moderator will rotate so no two sessions will be the same! The discussion is based on specific pieces of art brought it by the artists in attendance. Let’s generate ideas and creativity together!

There will be time to discuss a few or more works. You can share past or current work, discuss ideas in progress, or even bring in work by another artist to talk about. This event is designed to have a safe space to get feedback or just chat about art.

Each person will be allotted 10 to 15 minutes to ask questions and receive feedback about the art they’ve brought. We can typically accommodate about 10-12 guests depending on the size of the group.

If you’re planning to attend and want feedback, please send us an email to attheyards@gmail.com or fill out the form below. This ensures we plan enough time for everyone. We suggest a $5 donation to the space to help with consumable items.

VIRTUAL NOTES: Please email a few shots of your work you want to discuss by Tuesday April 14th at 12pm. We will have the host pull up slides. This ensures better image quality!
