Spring Equinox Yoga

Balance with the Spring Equinox Yoga
March 21st, 6:30-8pm
@ The Yards Collective

The spring {vernal} equinox signals the beginning of springtime. It marks that special moment when the sun crosses over and aligns directly over the earth's celestial equator. Equinox translates to equal: day and night have the same amount of hours; light and dark become "balanced." The days continue to lengthen as we head into summer.

The sun graces us with increasingly longer periods of illumination and we are inspired to lighten up, just like the spring. The days before & after the equinox are a perfect time to reinvigorate balance and peace into our lives. Please join Ahimsa Yoga with JoAnna, E-RYT as we celebrate the Equinox with a grounding & peaceful Hatha Yoga Class - consisting of steady breath work, calming & balancing postures & ending in a guided meditation to center the mind.

"Connecting us to the earth and the natural balance occurring around us, like forming the roots that stabilize a tree."

All levels welcome. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
ॐ Bring a mat if you have one, or use one of our eco-friendly yoga mats. We also have straps, blocks & blankets available for use.

◈ Organic herbal teas & filtered water are offered during class
◈ Suggested donation $10-$15 (Portion will benefit Willow Domestic Violence Center)
