Ugly Art & Bad Poetry: The Joy of Imperfection
May 29th, 6:30-8:30pm
Join us for another session of imperfection!
Is perfectionism stopping you from getting started? Is it getting in the way of your process? Come to this popular workshop, led by Molly Elizabeth AKA the Darling Rage, and Nancy J. Pigno, aka Muse-a-Palooza . Play with materials and learn strategies for putting perfectionism in its place. In the words of Elizabeth Gilbert, “...perfectionism is just fear in fancy shoes and a mink coat,” Perfectionism can roar to life before you even start something, preventing you from attempting something new, it can fill you with anxiety during the process and it can straight up beat you up for being a human being.
We will establish a perfectionism-free zone as we scribble, write, draw and literally talk back to our inner critic. If you missed our February class, now is your chance. If you attended our last workshop, come again, as we will be offering new experiences and activities. (Open to all, artists and non-artists alike.) ”
- Molly and Nancy.
We are taking a break for the summer. Classes will resume after Labor Day.
A special Full Moon Yoga Class will be held on July 15th from 6:30-8:30pm. More info to be announced soon!

Let’s generate ideas and creativity together!
There will be time to discuss a few more works. You can bring in past or current work, discuss ideas in progress, or even bring in work by another artist to talk about. This event is designed to have a safe space to get feedback or just chat about art. On a first come, first serve basis, each person will be allotted 10 to 15 minutes to ask questions and receive feedback about the art they’ve brought. We can typically accommodate about 10 feedback sessions depending on the size of the group. If you’re planning to attend and want feedback, please send us an email to email@example.com or RSVP below. This ensures we plan enough time for everyone. We suggest a $5 donation to the space to help with consumable items.
